{"id":581,"date":"2014-12-22T04:20:08","date_gmt":"2014-12-22T04:20:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test-dlnreng.ehawaii.gov\/fcds\/?p=581"},"modified":"2014-12-23T03:01:23","modified_gmt":"2014-12-23T03:01:23","slug":"makaha-valley-flood-mitigation-study-final-report-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/test-dlnreng.ehawaii.gov\/fcds\/makaha-valley-flood-mitigation-study-final-report-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"Makaha Valley Flood Mitigation Study &#8211; Final Report (2014)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Final Report for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/test-dlnreng.ehawaii.gov\/fcds\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2014\/12\/Final-Makaha-Valley-Flood-Report.pdf\">Makaha Valley Flood Mitigation Study<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0overviews the\u00a0existing watershed conditions; \u00a0summarizes the flood problem areas; \u00a0provides the\u00a0hydrologic and hydraulic analysis; \u00a0presents\u00a0recommended flood mitigation projects and\u00a0measures; \u00a0and evaluates the effectiveness of each\u00a0project to mitigate flooding. \u00a0This report also provides a\u00a0summary of environmental impacts of the proposed flood mitigation projects and concludes with\u00a0future actions needed for implementation.<\/p>\n<p>All are encouraged to attend <a href=\"https:\/\/test-dlnreng.ehawaii.gov\/fcds\/2014\/12\/22\/final-public-meeting-for-makaha-flood-study\/\" target=\"_blank\">the final public meeting for this study to discuss recommended flood mitigation measures for Makaha Valley<\/a>,\u00a0on Thursday, January 15th at the Wai\u02bbanae District Park Multi-Purpose Building.
